Forest Grove, OR, January 30, 1997, Richard Kief, President of Fowler Manufacturing Co., today announced that effective January 1, 1998 the company's name will change to INSERTA FITTINGS Co. "This new name more closely reflects current and future product offerings", said Kief. He further stated: "Our INSERTA TEE® is an installation expediter that reduces installation time by a minimum of 30%. Service connections can be placed exactly where needed and then backfilled immediately after installation."

INSERTA TEE is a three-piece service connection that is compression fit into the cored wall of wastewater and stormwater mainlines without special tooling. The three-piece service connection consists of a PVC Hub, Rubber Sleeve and Stainless Steel Band. INSERTA TEEs are designed to connect 4" (100mm) through 15" (375mm) side services to all known solid wall, profile, closed profile, and corrugated pipe manufactured today.

The INSERTA TEE was designed for new, rehab and existing installations. It is also, the perfect solution for trenchless technologies including Sliplining, Pipe Bursting, Fold-and-Formed Products and Cured-in-Place Products. INSERTA TEE installations allow easier grading of mainlines and ensures that side services can be installed exactly where they are needed. Existing wastewater and stormwater mainline lateral installations can be completed without disturbing the bedding, and it is not necessary to tighten and re-tighten bands. INSERTA TEEs also eliminate the need for glue, epoxy and grout as well as banding around a new liner.

The INSERTA TEE exhibited no leakage when tested by Northwest Testing Labs, (Portland, Oregon,) in 1990 and again in 1991, with pressures above ASTM 3212. INSERTA TEE was approved by the State of Oregon, Plumbing Advisory Board in 1982.
